Content focus
Overview of Czech cultural history in European context. We will also give attention to practical use of culture history in children and youth education (knowledge of holidays, cultural heritage, influence of Christianity and other religions, development of literature, architecture and fine arts). We will be focused especially on significant periods of Czech history (beginning of Czech statehood, culture in Middle Ages, time of Charles IV., Renaissance, Baroque, National Revival, end of 19th and beginning of 20th century). And we will give special attention on culture of 20th century (intellectual and artistic directions, theatre and film, everyday meetings with culture in our lives).
