The aim of Teaching Practice is forming and developing students? didactic skills (e.g., regulation of the language acquisition process, communication, class management and assessment) including self-assessment. Students should be able to transform gained knowledge of the linguistic system, didactics, pedagogy and psychology into didactically effective forms of teaching.
The students teach under the supervision of experienced English teachers. First students observe classes then they prepare lesson plans for their own teaching, and analyse them with their supervisors.
Students concurrently reflect on their strengths, weaknesses and achievements. They learn to seek alternative approaches to language teaching activities and realize their implications.
At the end of the course, students will define individual aims for the next teaching practice.
