Annotation

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the representative works of British Romanticism and Victorian period. The lectures are designed in order to provide social, cultural and theoretical context of the period.

Seminars focus on the interpretation of canonical works of Romantic and Victorian poetry and fiction. The choice of literary works reflects their importance for the period and also the richness and variety of themes and approaches.
