Annotation

The subject deals with the issues of the lives of people with physical disabilities and people with visual disabilities, the issue of barriers in the environment and relevant legislation. Students will reflect on the obstacles of people with disabilities in their personal and social life. The course includes topics:

1. Self-concept and psychosocial image of persons with physical and visual disabilities.

2. Cognitive processing of physical difference and visual impairment.

3. Social evaluation of persons with physical disabilities and visual impairments, social stereotypes in the perception of persons with limited ability to move and orient themselves.

4. Disadvantage as a question of the rights of persons with physical and visual impairments.

5. Legislative anchoring of the rights of persons with disabilities, socialization of persons with disabilities.

6. Life autonomy, self-sufficiency and quality of life of persons with disabilities.

7. System of care and support for persons with physical and visual disabilities in education.

8. Ethical aspects of working with both target groups.
