1. The roots of medieval culture in late ancient culture and other influences and tendencies, especially the Arab world.
2. Early Middle Ages - pre-Romanesque culture and art: religious orders, Carolingian and Ottonian culture.
3. Romanesque culture in Europe and in the Czech lands.
4. Gothic, its origin and important artistic personalities and monuments in Europe and in the Czech lands: architecture - cathedrals, sculpture, painting and arts and crafts.
5. Art of the late Middle Ages. On the border of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance - the beginnings of the Italian and Transalpine Renaissance: architecture, sculpture, painting, drawing, graphics and arts and crafts.
