Syllabus

1) The modern age and the emergence of new art and life culture. The birth of the Renaissance in Florentine painting, sculpture and architecture. The parallel emergence of Dutch realism (Nordic Renaissance) and the anchoring of the modern culture of humanism.

2) The High Renaissance The High Renaissance of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael and its reflections on contemporary art.

3) Mannerism and its reflections in contemporary art.

4) Art and culture of the 17th century in Europe.

5) Art and culture of the 17th century in the Czech lands.

6) Art and culture of the 18th century in Europe.

7) Art and culture of the 18th century in the Czech lands.

8) Reflections of Baroque in contemporary art. The aim is to understand and internalize the changes in the art of the past and their connection with contemporary art. In the case of distance learning, the online Zoom platform is used.

Annotation

Baroque art culture in Europe and in the Czech lands from the 17th to the 18th century, Rococo, Classicism and Empire. Architecture, sculpture and painting of the long 19th century romanticism and realism, historical styles in architecture and art: neo-renaissance.
