The aim of the subject is to further develop and extend the knowledge basis of the teaching profession = the system of the basic didactic categories as well as the skill of orientation in the content and process of teaching and learning. Based on the knowledge of the area of setting aims, communicative competency, planning ... within the scope of this subject the students will get acquainted with the principles of teaching language systems on both theoretical as well as practical levels.
Watching recordings of real lessons followed by reflection support in the students the development of the ability to see specific aspects of the English lesson, problem situations and suggest sulutions to them as well as ask questions, critically analyze and evaluate their own as well as someone else´s performance. Microteaching, inculuding its assessment and self-assesssment, support the development of the ability to set aims, make plans, realize and assess and evaluate their own and their colleagues´ teaching.
For the needs of lesson observation the students use observation feedback forms which focus on the analysis of teaching individual language systems. Students develop the portfolio of effective acrivities, are able to integrate individual language systems and plan lessons.
