The aim of the subject is to verify theoretical knowledge and skills from subject didactics in the environment of grammar schools and secondary vocational schools, and to develop the key competences of the students (diagnostic and self-reflective, organizational and management, psychodidactic and communication competences). Continuous practice develops the acquired skills and deepens the experience gained in elementary schools as part of the previous continuous practice at elementary school.
Students practice under the guidance of experienced faculty teachers, attend their classes, implement their own outputs, and analyze them. They continuously reflect on the positives and negatives of their own outputs and learn to look for alternative approaches to learning activities in teaching foreign languages.
Some outputs are recorded and then analyzed. At the end of the internship, students submit reports in the form of portfolios in which they collect relevant materials for the internship, describe the process, formulate conclusions from the internship, and then reflect on the internship together.
Due to the high hourly subsidy, students can extend their stay at the school in the regime of a so-called supplementary teacher, who teaches under the guidance of a faculty teacher and performs other tasks connected with the normal educational activity of a German language teacher.
