Annotation
The discipline is devoted to the interpretation of significant changes in the development of Russian and on this basis it explains the basic development trends with emphasis on their outcome in the current state. Attention is paid to both the internal development of Russian and the external history of the language.
The aim of this course is to get acquainted with the most important regularities of language development and explain the facts of contemporary Russian, to provide a scientific idea of changes in the structure of standard language, types of standard languages and forms of their dependence and interconnection, history of standard language in society.
