The internship will acquaint students with the form of teaching art education in a high school, grammar school or art school, which specifically structures the requirements for teachers. It is assumed that students demonstrate the ability of didactic transformation of the topic of their own thesis and on the basis of consultations and teachers and with the head of practice will prepare a comprehensive program.
Students learn to build a lesson within a thematic unit so that they can verify their own teaching goals. The practice is focused primarily on developing and consolidating the set of skills that are needed to prepare, lead and effectively reflect the lessons and to formulate their own concept of the subject.
Part of the practice is the acquisition of documentation of art activities and the course of lessons for the didactic part of the diploma thesis. Within the course, students further develop creative and open solutions to situations that pedagogical practice brings, they learn in a demanding environment of high school and field study to work with the results of their own work, to build on their own lessons.
Students close the results of this practice with their pedagogical portfolio and lead to its final reflection. They are aware of and reflect on their ideas about the forms and content of art education, they aim to find the basics of their own concept of teaching.
A total of 6 two-hour meetings will take place, in a block of four pre-internship and two post-internship meetings, in which attention will be paid to both the preparation for the internship and the didactic analysis of the lessons learned.
