Annotation
The aim of the professional practice is to acquire basic professional skills and habits in the normal mode of performing the profession of orthotist - prosthetist, using the knowledge and skills that the student is equipped with after five semesters of study. The course covers the curricula of semesters 1st to 5th of the orthotist-prosthetist program.
Upon completion of the course, the student will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform a comprehensive examination of a patient examination patient from the perspective of an orthotist-prosthetist and to independently complete all necessary patient documentation. In addition, the student should be able to independently take measurements for an orthotic appliance as specified or as needed by the patient and apply the appliance to the patient and verify its functionality and accuracy.
The output is the elaboration of the patient's case study in the bachelor thesis.
