Annotation

Series of surveys and excavations undertaken in last years in the very heart of Jerusalem and also on its outskirts reveals more detailed picture of this ancient city and its interactions with surroundings. New and more precise methods of excavation together with application of socio-historical interpretative models help to understand complex nature of Jerusalem in Bronze and Iron Age.

Aim of the course led by distinguished guest Dr. Yuval Gadot from Tel Aviv University is to outline important developments in the field of archaeology and to relate them, if this is possible, critically to biblical account on the same period of time.
