The aim of the course is to become proficient in the methodology of biblical exegesis, in other words the independent analysis of biblical texts. The texts are examined together, firstly from the linguistic viewpoint, and then in terms of content.
The course also includes an introduction to the various exegetical schools, approaches, and trends, with the help of the relevant reference literature (generally the historical-critical method and its various schools, structural analysis, reader-response criticism, feminist exegesis, social-critical analysis, etc.).
