The course presents summarising and systematic approaches to the theological conceptions of the individual New
Testament writings, authorial circles (e.g. synoptic gospels, Pauline or Johannine writings) as well as of the whole of the canonical collection. The lectures announced annually do not surway the matter in its entirety, but rather are focused to more detailed exploration of particular problems, including the basic question of an appropriate way of summarising the witness of the canon, paying heed to the variety of the writings gathered into the collection.
Orientation in the history of attempts to fulfill that difficult task also belongs to the scope of the course.
