Anotace
This course will introduce students to the most significant expressions of religion in the cultural history of the western civilization. A socio-cultural phenomenon, religion will be explored in its most essential historical forms with an emphasis on the role of religion in society.
In addition to the sociological and historical perspectives, the students will also be introduced with the basic forms of religious faith from the phenomenological perspective so that they can adequately interpret past and contemporary expressions of religion.
