Annotation
A compulsory Proficiency-in-English examination, whose aim is to prove the candidates are fully competent to study in English. It consists of two basic parts: a) an overall language competence test comprised of written tasks and oral presentation. Written tasks include Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Error Correction, Lexical Cloze, Sentence
Transformation and Text Interpretation, while the oral part consists of presentation of and discussion on an academic text; b) a 20-25 page review of a non-fiction book selected from a list of recommended titles. The well-organized review written in English will be followed by an oral presentation and discussion.
