Class at Faculty of Humanities |
YBFC191

Annotation

Translation seminar in which we will focus on the study „A priori et philosophie de la nature“ (“The a priori and the Philosophy of Nature”) written by Mikel Dufrenne in 1967. After getting acquainted with the philosophical issues exposed in the text (the problem of the material “a priori”, the sensible, the imaginary, emotion, nature), we will focus on the translation of this short text.

The aim of the course is to improve the understanding of philosophical texts written in French. At least a basic knowledge of French is expected.

An English translation of the study by Garth Gillan will also be at disposal.
