Annotation

The aim of the course is to present the students the basic knowledge of the historic evolution in the area of the ancient Greece and Rome, beginning with the Greek colonisation and finishing with the decline of the Roman empire. The course continues also the basics of the geography of the ancient Greece and Rome, followed by the msurvey of the evolution of the ancient architecture and all building orders applied in the area. The course will present the history of the most important public and private buildings since the beginnings of the monumental architecture until to the Late Antiquity.
