Annotation
This course develops students' ability to read and translate German academic texts on a variety of topics. Students focus on specific aspects of German (terminology, word-formation, syntax etc.) in comparison with Czech.
They learn textual analysis and search for information that is helpful in solving problems of translation. Each student will compare and contrast their translation with the translations of their colleagues.
