The graduates have an excellent command of English and all-round knowledge of the theory and methods of English synchronic and diachronic linguistics. They put their analytical, synthetic and presentation skills to outstanding use in supervision roles and in employment areas focused on language analysis and excellent linguistic skills in communication and document making.
The graduate is highly proficient in English at C2 level of the CEFR and has detailed knowledge of British and Commonwealth literatures and studies. He/she can work as a literary translator, a publisher ’s editor, in the media, diplomacy, etc., and is qualified to enrol in prestigious PhD programmes.
