Graduates are familiar with mediaeval studies as well as their specific field of study, can apply digital humanities approaches and have a passive knowledge of at least one vernacular language of the period. They are able to integrate and critically evaluate results from multiple research fields, and can work with the sources, methods and theories of relevant disciplines.

Graduates have achieved advanced language skills in Latin. They have a broad knowledge of medieval Latin literature and culture, and have received methodological training in philological and historical methods and approaches.
