Graduates are qualified for interdisciplinary and comparative studies in the fields of Japanese linguistics, literature, history and contemporary Japanese society. They are able to identify and interpret basic issues and formulate their own approaches.

Their language and professional skills enable them to continue their studies in doctoral programmes at Czech as well as foreign universities or pursue academic careers as experts in educational or research institutions. They are fully qualified for a wide range of professions – from language-related activities as interpreters or translators to diplomacy, tourism, media and business.

Graduates are also qualified for positions in education as Japanese language teachers.
