Graduates of the DSP in Xenobiochemistry and Pathobiochemistry are qualified for professional and research work in pharmaceutical, medical, bioanalytical laboratories, and for an academic career as a university teacher in the field. They specialize in metabolism, pathobiochemistry, and xenobiochemistry, and the use of biomedical scientific methods.

They apply this knowledge to experimental work, developing biological models and procedures to test the biological effect and metabolic fate of substances. They can critically evaluate new findings in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine, design scientific experiments to address biochemical questions, prepare research grant applications, manage small team, interpret, discuss, and present the scientific work, and write and defend foreign language scientific papers.
