The graduate of the international Master’s study programme “Central and Eastern Europe: History, Politics, Culture” has historical, political, and cultural-historical knowledge of Central Europe with a focus on the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia. The graduate possesses the competencies optimal for their employment in (German, Czech, and other) professional institutions and disciplines that focus on the exploration of the common historical trajectories, mindsets, identities, and cultural roots of the Central and Eastern European area, as well as expertise in a number of areas, such as media, political decision-making relating to international cooperation, the promotion of cultural identities, or the politics of history.
