Profiles

Graduates are able to independently apply and develop their advanced knowledge of the Dutch language, cultural and literary history and present issues of Dutch-speaking countries. Their wide knowledge of the Dutch-speaking area allows them to work in cultural and political institutions, public service, the media, tourism, or as translators.

Graduates have mastered empirical linguistic methodology; they know how to use basic statistical methods and they have deep knowledge of linguistic terminology in Czech and English. They orient themselves in the current trends in linguistic research and are familiar with various empirical methods. Graduates also can read and interpret scientific literature in English.
