Publication concerns three topics as stated in its title: Evaluation of schools, teachers and the development of upper secondary schools. They represent key, and at the same time most pressing problems of the development of the Czech education system.
The first one is the implementation of a complex evaluation system as a necessary correlate to the ongoing curricular reform. The second part deals with priorities of teacher policy urgently needed to address the current situation of teachers and in view of their key role in increasing the quality and effectivity of education.
Eventually, the third part of the publication deals with the development of upper secondary schools which having undergone vast changes in the past twenty years are awaiting even more profound ones in the near future, due to decreasing population, expanding tertiary education and changes on the labour market.
