Determination of natural antioxidants at a carbon paste electrode

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2010

Abstract

Antioxidants have become one of the most important issues in human nutrition. In this work, electrochemical methods with a carbon paste electrodes containing glassy carbon microbeads powder and mineral oil as a pasting liquid were used as working electrodes for the determination of three natural antioxidants.

Differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry were used for the determination of phloretin, flow injection analysis with amperometric and spectrophotometric detection was used for the determination of vanillin and HPLC with amperometric and spectrophotometric detection was used for the determination of resveratrol.
