Abstract

The paper deals with a problem of position of the British Liberal Party in the 1930s and its desintegration. It focuses primarily on the first half of the decade, when the Party split up over the question of preferential tariffs.

Nevertheless, it does not omitt important events in the 2nd half of the 1930s as well.
