Abstract
The chapter discusses the character of modern citizenship education of the adults in the European context. It focuses on the topic of European integration and its dimension of the political integration.
It describes three possible ways how to conceptualize citizenship education of the adults systematicaly - with the help of analysis of universaly present problems (topics), politics of the EU and scientific research.
