Dravidian and Altaic – ancient high contact languages?

Abstract

The comparison of Dravidian and Altaic languages points to the conclusion that there was a high-contact situation in prehistory resulting in at least two layers in Dravidian languages. Select parallels for ‘king’ and ‘instruments of power’.
