Abstract
The article informs of the preparation, course, and results of the first season of the geoarchaeological research carried out by the Czech Institute of Egyptology (Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague) and the Institute of Geology (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic) in the area of the Sixth Nile Cataract (Sabaloka) in the Sudan in autumn 2009.
