Abstract
The text analyzes the mechanisms with help of which were transformed the importance of those places and/or the process of the emergence and thematization of new places whose symbols and insertion in the context of further symbols during the construction of a new identity of the city: the identity of the model socialistic metropolis in the period of sovietization of the city (1948-1953) and its afterglow.
