Abstract

Czechoslovakia and Mexico were facing serious problems shortly before XIXth summer Olympic games. Mexico was confronted with student protests that graduated in demonstrations for social and political equity.

Czechoslovakia braved consequences of invasion of forces of Warsaw pact. Both countries took the situation under control, Mexico as a first country of the “third world” organised the Olympic Games successfully and sport representation of occupied Czechoslovakia successfully participated on them.
