The book consists of two parts: The first part comprises a study in the extent of a monograph including five chapters on Victorinus´ life, the work of his pagan period, the Arian controversy, Victorinus´ theological work and problem of its philosophical sources. The second part comprises the Latin text and Czech translation of Victorinus´ writing "Against Arius Ib" ("On Consubstantiality of the Trinity") with an exposition of its content and a comprehensive commentary.
The book, especially the introductory study and the commentary, presents the outcomes of multiyear research work on Victorinus? theological writings and in many respects amends the results of existing research on the issue.
