Abstract
Why some societies and political thinkers suppose it is impossible to act without authority, an the other do not share this assumption? What images create demand for authority and which for its elimination? Attempt to answer to these question makes content of presented paper. Aim of the contribution is to show, how is the demand for authority connected with the image of the world,which is full of uncertainities,which condition is plurality of powers, which contains possibility of its destruction in itself.
On the other hand, refusal of authority is connected with the image of optimistic society, society of joyful creativity/destruction.
