Oxidation of Aniline with Silver Nitrate Accelerated by p-Phenylenediamine: A New Route to Conducting Composites

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2010

Abstract

I has been shown that the addition of a small amount of p-phenylenediamine accelerated reaction between aniline and silver nitrate significantly. Rection time without p-phenylenediamine took tens of days, with p-phenylenediamine tens of minutes.

Conductivity of the composites reached thousands of S/cm in the presence of nitric acids as well as acetic acid.
