Abstract

The current form of mass media communication, largely determined by the principle of objectivity as a structural factor of professional journalism, does not develop ideas, prevents the perceiving of the context in the social discussion. It facilitates the manipulation of the public by the holders of symbolic power - the owners of media and allied political elites.
