A contribution to the discussion about the use of so-caled supersoft toothbrushes

Abstract

The indications for the use of socaled supersoft toothbrush, which are predominantly desquamative gingivitis and also other less frequent periodontal diseases without any association to the dental plaque, were reviewed in this article. The misuse of the supersoft toothbrush in the common form of the plaque-induced gingivitis was demonstrated in a case report.
