Abstract
The National Gallery in Prague owns one of the largest collectios of Qi Baishi's painting in Europe. The paper examines some of the most remarkable paintings in the collection and reveals the circumstances of their acquisition through the activities of Vojtech Chytil in 1920s and 1930s and the international contacts in the afterwar period.
