The aim of this review study was to compare the reliability of isokinetic and isometric strength measurement in choosen joints of upper and lower body extremities (elbow, shoulder, knee) and trunk on dynamometers. The reliability was evaluated using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Pearson´s coefficient (r).
ICC for elbow and shoulder flexion and extension ranged from 0,41 to 0,98, for knee joint was found between 0,74-0,99 and values for the trunk were 0,87-0,98. The age of participants ranged from 10 to 67 years.
The highest values of ICC and r were found for the participants in the age around 20-30 years in disregard to gender. Lower values of ICC were found for the hand-held dynamometers than for others dynamometers.
