Abstract
The subject of this article is the image of Albanians in the Czech literature and press at the turn of the twentieth century. Books and articles describe many nagative phenomena - desperate economic and social condidion of Albanians, bloody revenge etc.
The isolation of the country was also the source of images of a romantically beautiful and misterious country and the pride and honor spirit of the Albanians.
