INTRACLASS CORRELATION COEFFICIENT OF MAXIMAL ISOMETRIC STRENGTH MEASUREMENT IN ELBOW AND KNEE FLEXION AND EXTENSION BETWEEN DAYS AND TRIALS

Publication

Abstract

The aim of this study was to asses the reliability of maximal isometric strength measurement in elbow and knee flexion and extension between days and trials using the dynamometer Vishay Tedea-Huntleigh Model 1042. Twenty sport students took part in the study.

We used the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) model (3,k) and the Pearson’s r to asses the reliability. ICC of elbow flexion and extension between days and trials were 0,92-0,96 (r =0,62-0,93) and 0,91-0,98 (r =0,83-0,96).

ICC of knee flexion and extension between days were 0,91-0,95 (r = 0,87-0,92) and between trials were 0,94-0,97 (r = 0,89-0,94).
