Abstract

The study deals with the complicated relation between the archbishopric of Prague and the monasteries of Cistercian nuns Marienthal and Marienstern in Upper Lusatia in early modern era. This relation reflects the changing of competencies between the diocesan and monastic authorities after the council of Trent.
