The aim of the Conference of Young Slavists is to offer an opportunity for meetings of young experts, to make place for showing the results of their scholarly work and a forum for confronting diverse scientific methods and insights into Slavonic area. The attendance on the conference lies in presenting a paper with an extent of 15-20 minutes.
All Slavonic languages are official languages of the conference. The Conference of Young Slavists 2010 was intended for senior students, graduates, alumnae, PhD students and young scholars below 35 years of age.
Five following topic areas were set: Ethnicity and Ethnogenesis in the Prism of Slavonic Languages, Ethnic Minorities and Their Languages in Central and Southeastern Europe, Civilisations and Languages between International and National Exclusivity, Historical Myths and Their Role in the Formation of Modern Nations, The Question of National Self-Identification in Literature of the 19th and 20th centuries.
