Relations between Federal Republic of Germany and France (1949-1974) : democratization as a path to modern bilateral relations

Abstract

The article deals with the qualitative change of Franco-German relations in the period 1949-1974, i.e. from the constitution of the FRG to the resignation of German chancellor Brandt and the death of French president Pompidou.
