Alternative forms of education in high schools

Abstract

The author maps areas of the following research in education and pedagogic psychology concerning selection of the content and adequate form of tuition in order to effectively prepare students for (work)life and contemporary society. The author defines the forms like "standard" and "alternative forms of tuition" and subsequently deals with questions concerning the influence of form of tuition on development of the students' personalities.

Further the author attempt to characterize contemporary educational system in the Czech Republic, actual changes of the system and to maps significant schools of alternative education. At the end the author presents questions concerning the influence of the form of education on subsequent assertion of the student in labour market, demands and teachers, and other areas of the topic.
