Abstract
In the field of social pedagogics the function of educator can be hold both by the individual and by the group (small, medium, big). By analogy both individuals and groups can be socially educated and socially brought up.
The centre of social pedagogics consists in educating and upbringing through aspects and effects of social processes themselves, be it the socialization, the interaction, the cooperation, the conflict solving and others. The ethical function is included both in social education, especially in its cultivating effect, and in social upbringing aimed at the interiorization of moral values by individuals and groups.
Ethical function is especially in the foreground as far as the help to individuals and groups at risk and the influence upon their environs are concerned. Social education and social upbringing are intertwined with social work and social care here.
Their moral basis expressed in categorical imperative and demanding the humanism of individuals and groups is very up-todate. It keeps to be necessary in conditions of achievement society and deepening globalisation.
