In the long term, cardiovascular diseases represent the main cause of morbidity and mortality of adult population in the Czech Republic. Concerning the numbers of distributed unit packs by ATC groups, cardiovascular therapeutics are the most voluminous group, constituting 20.36% of total (1).

Pharmacist as a medical professional contributes to the optimization of chronic pharmacotherapy by exerting control over interactive potentials of individual drugs and via providing information service focused on drug adverse effects.
