Czech-Slovak word formational adjectival difference -ný/-ní and its text impact

Abstract

Among word formation differences between Czech and Slovak an adjectival difference -ný/-ní occupies a significant place. Large extent of application of the formant -ní in Czech and its absence in Slovak together with the morphological differences of the types of adjectives has a significant text impact too.

The description of the text differences is based on material from the Czech-Slovak parallel corpus.
