Abstract

This publication describes the most frequent difficulties which Russian speaking students face while acquiring phonetic features of Czech. It also focuses on discovering the causes leading to fixation of foreign accent.

We are trying to organize, on the basis of theoretical comparison of phonological systems of Czech and Russian, phonetic mistakes which Russian speaking students make. Subsequently it analyses phonetic features described in Czech for foreigners textbooks.
